Its Read a book day! Reading is one of my favourite hobbies and is a great way to distract my busy mind from any stress. Reading is apart of daily life and an essential skill in life, so it is important we teach the younger generation, our children, our grandchildren... etc.

It can be argued for many moons which is the best books in the world. There is not set list, we all have our own preferences. Today I am sharing some of my favourite books I enjoy reading and have been glued to!

As a book lover it is hard to pick just 3 books. I do love story that brings out creative imagination into magical world of fairytales or just a good love story. In no particular order these are the ones I have chosen...

1) Mr Darcy's Diary by Amanda Grange - I love this book! I have read it a few times and never get bored of it. As you can guess by the title it is based around Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice but this is Mr Darcy's perspective of the famous tale. Written through diary form, his emotions are portrayed through the gripping words that will make you fall in love with him all over again.

2) Me Before You by Jojo Moyes - This is such a heartfelt story. Young Louisa Clark is desperate for a job and takes one as a carer for joyless Will Traynor, who is paralyzed after a motorcycle accident. A story of dedicated and love, this beautiful tale had my gripped from the start. A heartbreaking story by so lovely to read and its been made into a movie!

3) Disney A Twisted Tale: As old as time- This is a must read for any Beauty and the Beast fan! It is the story of Beauty and the beast but with a dark twist and an insight to who Bell's mother was and what happened to her...Find out the shocking truth of who the Entrantress that cursed the Beast really is... I was glue to this book from the moment I bought it and inevitably landed up reading it in a day!

BONUS BOOKS-

As reading is such an important part of life I have thoughts on reading to children. In the future I plan to do so with my Nephew (only 3 months old right now) and these are just some of the books I already have ready for him...

The Very Hungry Caterpillar- A family favourite when I was growing up!

Owl Babies- Such a cute story!

Spot the dog books

I do love a good book so if anyone wants to share there favourites, please leave a comment and share! I would love to add some more to these lists. Happy Reading!
